Budget Planning - Interior Design
Budget (buj'it)- the amount of money needed or allotted for a specific use; to put on or in a budget.Creating a budget estimate is an integral part of the interior design process. I will keep your budget in mind when I make recommendations concerning furniture styles and other accessories. Based on your taste and budget parameters, we can focus our energy on choosing the best decor for your space. A budget at the outset should be a priority for both Client and Designer. It's important for both parties to be realistic about the money; what the client can get, in terms of time, for his or her budget, and what I can give as a Designer.
These are some steps to be considered when putting together an interior design budget:
- Budget starts with an idea which is a thought, image, theme or motif
- Plan Review of existing floor plans
- Interior Design concept drawings
- Furniture Selections
- Lighting and accessories
- Window covering and treatments
- Wall finishes
- Finish specifications
- Cabinetry design and details (such as finishes, style, wood type, counter tops and more)
- Homeowners can change the look of their homes without the expense and added time of redoing everything.
- I will take out the biggest fears that clients are fearful of such as " impose" a particular style, and help homeowners create a style of their own.
- Interior Design projects proceed more efficiently when clients contribute ideas about the new look, and enviroment you want to create in your project.
- Each project is customized for the individual client and/or family.
